Windows computers has been with us for quite sometime now. It made business more productive and less intimidating. Computer hardware eventually evolve to cope up with the operating system releases. Computers with windows have a big market share over its competitors from its existence to now. Lets take a quick rewind on how windows evolve in time.

How to check your windows version

My Windows 7 tips and tricks for today is checking the windows version of your computer. It  is relatively easy by using the "winver" command. It tells you the exact build of the OS and also the service pack. To use winver command, press window key + R to  open Run dialog box and type winver and press ok. A about window message box will appear for the information. You can also use command prompt to check the same information and also by using winver command. Just open command prompt and type winver. The snapshot below is my pc with windows 7 professional.

Google Handwrite for mobile devices

Did you ever wish to write your search query in your mobile phones? The answer now is Google Handwrite. It is still on beta but it has potential. While this can be new to many, it is wonderful to have it specially on search engines, sadly it is only available on google.com search page. This is very helpful in writing special characters like  + @ & $ # - * “ and etc. It is also available for different languages, change your language search setting to your preferred language under  Language of Search Results section in settings.

• Visit google.com homepage and go to the bottom of the page, touch settings and look for the handwrite section to enable and  disable it. Touch save when done.
